CHEMIST

This piece is based on the work of CHEMIST, which is exactly what it says. Really fun to work on, I love the fluidity of the letters, it gives me so much room to interpret and work the movement. It's a touch smaller than the rest but it definitely pops when you see it in person.

I'm thinking this one will be ready for the APE show in October somewhere in San Francisco.

I'm working my ass off to get these new items ready for a number of upcoming shows/conventions. Our first one is in SanJose on August 14(?), not quite sure. Trying to get the GABE and the Sexy Succubi ready for this show. I'm hoping to have all of these done before the APE show in San Francisco.

Here's the updated pics on the DCYPHER piece and the Kat Brunnegraff piece.

I'm attempting to get all those pieces molded and into Castilene in order to finish them. So far the GABE and Mike Mueller BAT have been transitioned into Castilene. I'm hoping that before the weekend is over I can do the same for these pieces.

I have pics of a piece I worked on with Miguel Paredes which I will be showing very soon. In the meantime, they were damaged en route to North Carolina so I'm headed there next week to make the repairs. Yay.

Sexy Succubi

I am happy to announce that we are working with artist Kat Brunnegraff in creating flat resin versions of her Sexy Succubi. Here are the first progress shots, all in all we will be creating 3 of her pieces in this format. I'm very happy that we're adding these very cute figures to our blank resin line.

DCYPHER

I'm working on a few new blanks, I'll be posting regularly with progress pics of each. This is one for DCYPHER. The angles on this one are pretty ridiculous. Should look really cool when it's finished. I have to locate the original image so that you can see what it I'm following for this sculpture.

GABE 6/10

Here's an update on my GABE piece. I know it looks the same as the other one but I had to start it again in a different clay. The other one was just too friggin' hard to work in, it's now shattered in pieces on my table. Oh well, take a couple steps back so that I can move forward again. So am back to where I was but it's much easier to work in.

As for some of my other work, I'm almost at a point where I can show the my most recent life-size project with Miguel Paredes. I'm still working on my piece with Patrick Martinez, which will be my largest sculpture to date.

I'm also gonna start working on a piece for a new magazine, NOLA, which will focus on the happenings in North L.A. Keeping Busy!!

Mueller BAT

l

This is a new piece for the Mueller's Monsters line. It's gonna be a DIY (Do It Yourself) resin blank. It's based on a canvas he painted. I really like it because of the dynamic quality of the mouth and claws. It's gonna be a lil bit tough to cast, we'll have to see how it goes. It's sculpted in Chavant Medium NSP, I'm really trying to get better at using the stuff. I'm hoping this piece will complement the other Mueller piece we are currently selling. I will keep updating as I make progress.

The first shot is the current state it is in, I included a shot from the first week I worked on it. I'm putting in a little time today so I'll have a new pic up soon.

I had to restart my GABE piece in Chavant because I was having too many problems with the other clay I started it in. New pics for that soon.

Currently I have a total of 7 sculptures in progress. Wish I could show them all in progress but they are for clients so I need to keep them confidential.

Gabe 88 3/17

This piece is moving along, slowly but surely. I'm really not enjoying this particular wax for this project but, oh well, gotta finish what I started. Not too much progress but I hope that will change by next week. Got some other pieces in the works which I will post soon.

GABE 88

Here's a new piece I'm working on based on the artwork of GABE 88. This is the starting point from a rough I made in another medium. This is a harder wax, I'll keep updating with progress shots until it's completed. I'm hoping to have this ready for our upcoming show in San Jose.

New Stuff

I'm thinking about showing some of our new pieces in progress. It won't really be a how-to but just a time-lapse kind of thing where you can see it as it goes through the process of completion. I have a new Throw-Ups piece I'm working on, maybe I'll get that up this week.

U1 Events

I'm/we're a week away from launching our new toy- the VOX statue. Trying to promote our asses off. We're attempting to get 300-400 people there. I'll have to let you know how it works out. Pretty exciting and nerve-racking at the same time.
